This poem on racism was written because of the many things I have seen in my life. Racism comes from all colors and being a racist does not mean its bad to be different or want to hang out with those you are most comfortable with but means that you think and treat those who are not your same race or color as being or having less value. Racism poetry is not written enough for my liking and I would love to it more prevalent in the poetry community.
Worlds apart they called one another a name,
"Sand nigger" spoken with text from a man enraged,
"Nigger" and Infidel spoken back with eager spit out anger,
The unknown not known with both seeing danger,
For years they had yelled and argued till one day they met,
Faces beat red as anger was kept in their head with few words said,
Their wives brought them together to understand and to change,
To finally break down barriers so their differences were less strange,
They sat across from each other with eyes in a stare and smiles absent and lost,
"Your religion is evil Jim spoke as words began to be tossed,
"My Religion is based on Love and life and being kind and helpful to those in need"
Then why are you yelling unless you plant lies just like seeds,
As they argued Cindy started to cry,
Jims baby girl had big tears rolling from her eyes,
Then she looked at her father and looked at his so called friend,
"If you cant get along this world is soon doomed to an end",
She ran from the room and away to find a place to weep,
a quiet place to hide while racism speaks,
But both men soon saw themselves from a little girls view,
Maybe we should start with a shake instead of acting like fools,
So Jim held out a hand but with a cautious reach,
And Omar grasped hard grasping as if his hand was a leach,
A mans shake finally to start a peace among few,
Apologies changed and accepted while friendship over the years grew,
Now Jims daughter is married to Omar's son,
both children in love with each other and lives filled with fun,
Heads of houses now think before they speak,
Racism cleansed from minds once out of reach....

Writing Personification Poetry
"In order for you to write better Stories and Poetry you need to be able to reach out to your readers feelings and thoughts and project your writing into pictures that play upon their mind when reading with the Personification Technique."
Personification Poetry is by far the best way to bring life to your writing by making plain objects come to life. Some examples of Personification Poems will be shown but first lets find out what personification actually means.
Personification is the act in speech and writing of giving inanimate objects or abstract actions or concepts, human characteristics. Personification is a type of metaphor since it is a metaphoric way of adding some life to your writing to make the object appear to have feeling or qualities that a person may have.
Often personification is used in poetry and among some people it is used in daily speech to make the conversation a little more interesting. When we say I don't know where the time has gone were suggesting that time can just hide or walk away. Or if someone describe the leaves of a tree to be singing in the wind we understand that they cant sing but just make a noise.
Personification has a way of making boring objects into items that can really suck a writer or reader into the page, story or poem. One of the biggest items we tend to describe and give feeling to is the human heart. "My heart is calling for you with every minute that goes by without you". Now I know and you know that your heart cant call but now the heart is more then just an organ its a Strong emotion and feeling.
"That milk carton just jumped out of my hands", now it is just a puddle stretching and grasping upon the ground as far as it can reach. It grabs up the floor and covers it like a big wet white blanket.
"So there you go", Personification is now part of your vocabulary and you should use it as often as possible in writing,Poetry and speech.
Personifying will bring more people to listen and read to what you have to say and write. If you decide to write poetry or short stories please join me at POETRYSCRIBER.COM. It is a free site that wont try to sell you anything but instead gives you a place to write or even better a home and a presence for all that you write.

Let The Poetry Wars Begin
Poetry Wars with poems fighting for victory
Poetrywars have been around for a long time with many poets trying to win the audiences hearts souls and minds. Many people write but allot of them are just not up for the challenge.
Do you have what it takes to go into a battle of words or are you just a spectator who cant wait for the poets to battle?
Personally I love the challenge but more challenging to me is to see two or more great and well known poets duel with their scribes. I find a writers pleasure in sitting back and savoring the talent of another poetic artist. In my mind I have created a directory of poets and often imagine them in word competition. I like to read their writings and get the vivid picture from all of their adjectives in full battle mode.
One of my favorite types of poets is the Personification Artist who brings to life things that would merely be objects. To see cornfields dancing and oceans screaming can really paint a picture of actually being there. Its almost like taking a free vacation.
Each and every day a poet posts his poem in a forum signals the start of the poetry war. With every poem a new sword joins the arena and the poet who is most read stands the victor as he triumphs in the end.
Do you have what it takes to be a poet? Maybe yeas or maybe no but one thing for sure is I'll be waiting to read what you have to offer. Anticipating the new scribe, short story or poem you will thwart out in an almost stabbing motion trying to get my attention.
My love for poetry goes beyond the battlefield and resides in my mind almost 24 hours a day as I have an endless stream of words that often over flow and spill out upon the page. I created a Web site that allows all to challenge themselves, to share and to triumph in the arts.
The site is POETRYSCRIBER which not only offers a rhyming dictionary, dictionary, but also a thesaurus. It is an online community of poetic soldiers who often create poems of Love, Life and the like.
Join the Battle and Join the war with victory in your sites you will live to write another day!
