Writing Personification Poetry

"In order for you to write better Stories and Poetry you need to be able to reach out to your readers feelings and thoughts and project your writing into pictures that play upon their mind when reading with the Personification Technique."
Personification Poetry is by far the best way to bring life to your writing by making plain objects come to life. Some examples of Personification Poems will be shown but first lets find out what personification actually means.
Personification is the act in speech and writing of giving inanimate objects or abstract actions or concepts, human characteristics. Personification is a type of metaphor since it is a metaphoric way of adding some life to your writing to make the object appear to have feeling or qualities that a person may have.
Often personification is used in poetry and among some people it is used in daily speech to make the conversation a little more interesting. When we say I don't know where the time has gone were suggesting that time can just hide or walk away. Or if someone describe the leaves of a tree to be singing in the wind we understand that they cant sing but just make a noise.
Personification has a way of making boring objects into items that can really suck a writer or reader into the page, story or poem. One of the biggest items we tend to describe and give feeling to is the human heart. "My heart is calling for you with every minute that goes by without you". Now I know and you know that your heart cant call but now the heart is more then just an organ its a Strong emotion and feeling.
"That milk carton just jumped out of my hands", now it is just a puddle stretching and grasping upon the ground as far as it can reach. It grabs up the floor and covers it like a big wet white blanket.
"So there you go", Personification is now part of your vocabulary and you should use it as often as possible in writing,Poetry and speech.
Personifying will bring more people to listen and read to what you have to say and write. If you decide to write poetry or short stories please join me at POETRYSCRIBER.COM.
